FIBER PLUS: Fiber with Mixed Media in the 21st Century invited entries from within the mainland
borders of the USA, focusing on materials and modes that included art quilt-constructions with inventive
surface design, knitting, crochet, tapestry, weaving, felt making, rug hooking, embroidery, needlepoint,
basketry, beading and metal work in scale from the most intimate to ceiling touching This survey of 56
works by 38 artists demonstrates a vibrant diversity of fiber art on the national scene.
