Blue
Door Gallery's coming exhibition; LOST and FOUND in YONKERS,
curated by Arlé Sklar-Weinstein and Luis Perelman, is an adventure in
the savvy, amusing, rule-defying, spontaneous as well as studied use of
found materials in the making of art.
Some
of the featured artists' earlier works have been showcased at Blue Door
Gallery in past exhibitions, including the elegant refinement of David Barnett's fanciful "inventions" and Paul Greco's street finds transformed into other-wordly energy, Debra Friedkin's whimsy in her cartoon-like creatures and Librado Romera's "Sledman", powerful in it's rough simplicity.
New to BDG, is L.Brandon Krall and her installation paying homage to Marcel Duchamp (bicycle), Richard Lund's precise stellar objects, along with fascinating works by

Wendy Alvarez, Beth Bailis, David Barnett
Lauren Bettini, Nina Birnbaum, Michael Cuomo
Debra Friedkin, Madlyn Goldman, Paul Greco
Ned Harris, Kelly Hendrickson, L. Brandon Krall
Ann Ladd, Karen Wyks Lindsay, Richard Lund
