The Minotaur and Other Mythological Beasts
Artist: Don Axleroad

Closing Reception

Featuring Katherine Adamenko Katherine Adamenko with Faun

The Minotaur Story is just one of many examples of ancient Greek mythology which have long fascinated award winning artist Don Axleroad. He believes the epic figures of mythology remind us of the capriciousness of man and nature as they relate to challenges we face today.

Included in the exhibition, a labyrinth inspired by the mythological tale of the Minotaur and the Labyrinth will be featured in the gallery to engage young explorers. The artist’s closing reception on October 24th at 2 pm will include an improvisational performance by Katherine Adamenko. The cast of characters in the story of the Minotaur includes Deceitful King Minos, Beautiful Ariadne, Brave Theseus, Inventive Dedalus, Foolhardy Icarus, the Great White Bull, the Mighty Minotaur and Cerberus, the Gatekeeper from Hell.
